In reality, this infection can affect anyone in the warmer and hot climates, as in these weather conditions, fungi multiply quickly that may lead to a more severe skin condition.

This skin infection type is not serious, it can be cured easily, but sometimes it is hard to treat based on your personal health condition.

Like, if you have diabetes or weak immune system then curing this infection can be little difficult from your end. So, instead of being dependent on home remedies, make sure to consult a doctor right away.

Symptoms of Athlete’s Foot

  • Itching or burning sensation in the infected area
  • Peeling or cracking skin
  • Redness or blisters on the itching foot

3). Ringworm

Ringworm is another fungal skin infection, also known as Tinea Corporis, which is usually caused by the fungus lives on the dead skin tissues.

This infection can affect any area of the body and commonly looks like red, circular, uneven and itchy sore.

A small itchy area can gradually turn into the circular shape, which makes it easier to diagnose this type of infection. Ringworm is contagious and can infect others by direct contact with infected person.

Heat and humidity may result to worsen the condition and if not cured properly it may spread on other areas of the body. This infection may affect skin on the scalp, feet, groin, and other areas.

  • Ring-shaped patch on the skin
  • Itchy, scaly or raised patches

  • Redder on the outside edges with ring appearance

Though ringworm is very easy to diagnose, still doctor recommends the medication depending on the severity of the skin condition.

No doubt like other skin infections, this infection may also affect any skin surface on the body, but it may spread actively in warm and moist areas such as armpits, groin and skin folds.

You must also know that this fungus is naturally found in your body, where your immune system plays a great role in keeping it from developing out of control.

Yeast infection is common in people with obesity or diabetes, who are the first choice of this type of infection.

Candida infections can cause:

  • Fungal Toenail infections
  • Diaper Rash in infants
  • Oral Thrush Infection – It occurs in the mouth, especially in the babies whom immune systems are still in developing stage. If you take antibiotics and have a habit of not rinsing your mouth afterward, this infection may catch you easily.
  • Vaginal Yeast Infection – It hits three out of four women for a variety of reasons. Hormonal changes or certain birth control pills may also increase the chances of getting affected by yeast infection. The women with sexually transmitted diseases or with higher sugar levels are at a higher risk of this infection.

Treatment for Yeast Infection

Treatment of any fungal skin infection completely depends on its severity, which is applicable to yeast infection as well.

The basic treatment includes creams or tablets, recommended by the doctor or the over-the-counter medications.

The common brands for OTC medications for yeast infections are Monistat and Vagistat. If any kind of complexity is found in your skin condition, the doctor will prescribe the treatment accordingly.

The steps to prevent yeast infections include a balanced diet and proper hygiene that includes loose-fitting clothing and change of feminine products frequently. These simple steps work effectively in preventing fungal growth.
